Turkish Parliament’s Speaker to Visit Azerbaijan

Turkey, Ankara, 21 May / Trend corr Y. Aliyev/ The Speaker of Turkish Parliament Koksal Toptan will arrive in Baku on 17 June. He made this statement in the meeting with Azerbaijani Prime Minister Artur Rasizade in Ankara on 21 May.

The governmental delegation headed by Rasizade is currently paying an official visit to Turkey.

On 21 May, Rasizade met with the chairman of the Supreme Assembly (Parliament) of Turkey Koksal Toptan.

According to Toptan, he will visit Azerbaijan to participate in the events devoted to the 90th anniversary of the Azerbaijani Parliament.

Toptan said that the relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey must pose an example for all other countries. "Turkey attaches great attention to inter-parliamentary relations, as well as inter-parliamentary cooperation. The Parliament does its best to expand the cooperation," speaker said.

Speaker added that Rasizade's visit will contribute in further development of relations between the two countries.

On 21 May, Rasizade will also meet with Turkish President Abdullah Gul.
