Turkey, Ankara, 29 May /ТrendNews corr A. Alaskarov/ "The occupation of Azerbaijani territory by Armenia negatively affects the relations between Turkey and Armenia," Hurriyyet newspaper quoted the Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan on 29 May, who made this statement in Brussels while delivering a report on the foreign policy pursued by Ankara.
Babacan said that Ankara has not received any response from Armenia to its offer to open its archives and to jointly investigate the 'Armenian genocide of 1915- 1918'. " Ankara is waiting for opening of Armenian archives in Armenia and in American Boston city," Babacan said.
Speaking to the members of the EU Commission on International Affairs, Babacan said that the tendency to search ways to solve the problem within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group and the meeting between the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia, scheduled in beginning of June, is encouraging.
