Azerbaijan, Julfa, 03 June / corr Trend M.Guliyev / The Azerbaijani leadership will continue paying more attention and care to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR), particularly, its energy security, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated during his visit to Julfa District of NAR on 3 June.
Construction of gas reservoirs is underway in Nakhchivan AR and their commissioning will enable to ensure energy security of NAR, Aliyev said in his remarks at the opening ceremony of the Central Hospital in Julfa.
The President said that the agenda also includes efforts to strengthen defence ability of this Autonomous Republic.
Aliyev said that over the past three years, Azerbaijan had occupied a top place in the world for the economic development. In this period, the state expenses have trebled and the total budget currently comprises $16bln.
