Azerbaijan, Baku, 20 June / Trend corr A. Gasimova/ "International community must retain all projects at the stage they are at the moment and make a break in implementation of new ones," Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on 20 June.

"It is imperative to make a break and freeze all that, let it be one-sidedly proclaimed independence of Kosovo, implementation of plans on setting up of missile defence elements in Eastern Europe, or enhancement of NATO to the East," Lavrov said at the conference 'Russia in the 21st Century' on 20 June.

According to the Vesti channel, Minister said "any aspiration to implement at any price the projects which are flatly rejected by partners is fraught with collapse of current relations and will cause an adequate reaction. So, the vicious circle must be broken off".

"That is an alternative. Will it be good for all us just to watch EU proving its post-modernism and NATO proving its performance in Afghanistan? It is necessary to achieve trust, to train for joint work on really crucial strategic issues," Minister added.
