Azerbaijan, Baku, 25 June / Trend corr E.Babayev/ "The military parade to take place in the Azadlig Square in Baku on 26 June will include 4,510 members of the personal staff of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan," Spokesperson for Defence Ministry Eldar Sabiroglu said to Trend on 25 June.
This year Azerbaijan is marking the 90th anniversary of the National Army. By the decision of the Government of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR), on 26 June 1918, formation of the National Army began. A Muslim Corpse including mainly Azerbaijanis was created - Special Azerbaijani Corps, and thus the foundation of the country's National Army was laid. By the presidential decree dated to 22 May 1998, 26 June is marked as the Day of Armed Forces of Azerbaijan.
Sabiroglu said the parade will demonstrate 210 units of upgraded military technics, 19 helicopters, 25 airplanes, 31 ships and cutters.
The parade will begin at 10.00am.
