Azerbaijan, Baku, 24 July / Trend corr. D.Babayeva / Two candidates from the Union for Democracy (UFD), which unites three opposition parties, which made a decision to participate in the upcoming presidential elections, may support another candidate. "Perhaps, UFD will support another candidate, who will base on the national and democratic platform," Ahmad Oruj, Chairman of the Azadlig party, represented in UFD, told Trend .

UFD unites the Classic Popular Front Party (CPFP), Azadlig and National- Democratic parties. The Union is a consultative and cooperative structure.

CPFP and Azadlig took a decision to participate in the presidential elections with their own candidates. UFD preferred to participate in the elections with two candidates in the current situation in the country. As a result, there was made a decision to create a single election headquarters. It is expected that these issues will be approved by supreme structures of the parties after announcing of the election campaigns.

According to Oruj, there is not a worthy candidate to support. All of the candidates are representatives of the authorities. "UFD's political perspective, which bases on the national and democratic values is more preferred rather than the platform of persons to participate in the elections,' Oruj stated.

One group will hold the election campaign of the two candidates. "There is possibility that one of these candidates may withdraw his candidature in favor of other, most succeed one. If a tension will take place to define the most succeed candidate then I will withdraw my own candidature in favor of Mirmahmud Miralioglu, Chairman of the CPFP," Oruj said.

The National-Democratic Party represented in the UFD, evaluated nomination of two candidates a reliable step and he will agree with the decision taken by the candidates.
