Azerbaijan, Baku, 21 August / Trend / Azerbaijan is interested in establishment of friendly relations between Tbilisi and Moscow, the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in his joint statement with Rejeb Tayyib Erdogan, the Turkish Premier, at the end of a bilateral meeting held in Baku.
" Russia and Georgia are Azerbaijan's friends. We have borders with both countries and we want that our friends to be friends of each other, as well," the President said.
According to Aliyev, the latest developments showed that stability of the region is fragile.
"As a result the latest developments in Georgia, each country's economic interests tuned out under threat. Serious damage was caused to Azerbaijan's export potential, according to the last data. Our transport opportunities were restricted," the President said.
"Surely, we want the situation of our neighbors to be stabilized and the problem to be solved in a peaceable way. Azerbaijan recognizes territorial integrity of all countries and believes that all conflicts can be solved within the framework of the international law, through peaceable ways and negotiations," the head of state said.
