N.Kirtskhalia / The United States allocated $10mln worth humanitarian aid to Georgia, Genrietta Ford, the director of the United State Agency for International Development (USAID) stated at a briefing after the meeting with the Georgian President in Tbilisi.
"The United States could allocate more than $10mln in humanitarian aid to Georgia and this support will be continuous and large-scale," she said.
According to Ford, the United States is with the Georgian nation at hard times and renders it the world support. "I met with refugees and currently we think how we can help these people. We discussed these issues with the Georgia Premier and the minister of Finance," the director of the USAID said.
Georgia has received humanitarian aid at 18 military aircrafts and two ships with humanitarian aid will enter the Georgia port within next few days.
