Azerbaijan Parliament to Pass over More than 20 Bills

Azerbaijan, Baku, 27 September / Trend corr. I.Alizade / The Azerbaijani Parliament plans to adopt more than 20 bills at the autumn session and work over the bills has been completed, Muradova, the vice-speaker, said at a news conference, which was held in connection with the autumn session of the parliament on 27 September.

Under the interior regulation, a meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament begins on 1 October and finishes on 30 December.

Adoption of five bills on social field, comprising bills on Education, Reproductive Health, Scientific and Technical Policy of State, Children and Youth Sport, as well as Housing Code, were included in an agenda of the autumn session.

It is planned to adopt four draft laws on economic field, including Public Budget of 2009, Competition Code (the third reading), Special Economic Zones and Payment of Employees Working at Institutions Financed by Public Budget.

The Azerbaijani Parliament will adopt six bills on human rights at the autumn session, including Prevention of Violence within Families, Volunteer Activity, Discipline Imprisonment of Military Servicemen, Providing Rights and Freedom of Suspected and Accused Persons at Prisons and Providing Rights of Military Servicemen Participating in Azerbaijani Peacemaking Operations.

Only one Law on Bee-keeping will be discussed at the autumn session.
