Russian Troops will Leave Georgia under Foreign Observers’ Efforts: Georgian Minister

Georgia, Tbilisi, 30 September / corr Trend N.Kirtzkhalia / Vano Merabashvili, the Georgian interior minister, stated that Russians will be obliged to leave the buffer zone through the foreign observers' efforts. The Interior Ministry developed a joint plan with the observers, he told journalists.

Merabashvili is sure that with the assistance of observers, Georgia will restore its control over territory, engaged by Russian army, fixes facts of ethnic cleansing and reach serious achievements from the aspect of restoration of legality.

"Russia will not stand international pressure and leave the occupied territory. In the contrary Russia will once more confirm that it is not a modern and civilized country and represents an aggressor. In such a case, Georgia's response will be adequate," the interior minister said.
