With New Security Model for Europe Russia Seeks to Reduce Importance of NATO, Says Georgian Speaker

Georgia, Tbilisi, 9 October / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / Russia seeks to reduce NATO's role by offering a new security model of Europe, David Bakradze, the speaker of the Georgian Parliament, said.

At the forum in the French city of Evian Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev stated necessity to create a new security model of Europe, which Russia is developing.

"Russia seeks to reduce NATO's role through it and establish alternative security organizations in Europe, Bakradze said.

According to the speaker, none of security system will function, if Russia violates elementary rights of other countries and breaks into there, where it wants. "Under these conditions, Russia has manifested itself as an unreliable partner and all talks about a new security system only covers its aggressions," Bakradze said.
