Azerbaijan, Baku, 16 October / Trend corr. I.Alizade /The Baku City Administration rejected the appeal by the Opposition Cooperation Centre, which unites parties boycotting the presidential election, to stage the protest action in the central avenue in the capital on 18 October.
"The Baku City Administration considered acceptable neither of nine avenues, which were fixed in the appeal, and sanctioned the rally in the Bibi Eybat stadium," Arif Hajili, head of the Central Executive Department of the Musavat party, which is also united in the centre, told Trend .
The Opposition Cooperation Centre unites Musavat, Citizen and Development, Popular Front parties, National Unity movement and Public Forum For the Name of Azerbaijan.
Under the Free Assemble law, the place, time and slogan of rallies are defined by organizers, said Hajili. "We are not to stage the rally in Bibi Eybat. The rally is not excluded to be postponed and the final date will be announced after the discussions on 17 October," said
The organizations, which are united in the centre, disagree regarding the rally.
