Iran, Tehran, 13 November / Trend corr. A.Namdari/ Speaker of the Iranian Parliament again lashed the foreign policy of the United States.

The situation in the world, especially in the Middle East, proves that the period of US's personal leadership has approached to an end, Iranian Speaker Ali Larijani said at the meeting with the officials of Iran's Education Ministry and the representatives of the Islamic Student Organization in Qom city on 13 November.

"Relying on its might, when occupying Afghanistan and Iraq America hoped that no country would be able to resist. But is not like that," he said.

During recent two weeks, Larijani many times discussed the foreign policy of the United States. He criticized the positions of the US Presidents George Bush and Barack Obama on Iran's uranium enrichment program.

At his first news conference, new US President Barack Obama called "Iran's intention to produce nuclear weapons" unacceptable. "The efforts of the international community must be enhanced to prevent the nuclear program of Iran. An end must be put to Iran's support to terrorism organizations," said Obama.

Iran repeatedly convinced the international community that its uranium enrichment program has peace targets.
