partnership means investing for European Union, European
Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner said in Brussels on 3 Dec. Eastern
Partnership is important in terms of energy cooperation and will promote closer
cooperation with business community of the new countries, she said.
"That will bring every
country closer to EU," she said.
European Commission offered closer cooperation to Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus within Eastern Partnership initiative.
The new agreement envisages creation of free trade
area, conclusion of bilateral and multilateral strategic agreements. E.C. wants to help Eastern Partnership countries
solve their political and economic problems.
The Commission will expand its funding for these countries.
