Russia to Host Georgian Culture Season: Saakashvili
Georgia, Tbilisi, Dec. 12 / Trend corr N. Kirtzkhalia / "The Season of Georgian Culture" will be held in Russia under the patronage of the Georgian president. Michael Saakashvili, president of Georgia, said to the meeting with citrus planters in Batumi. The preparations for realization of the project are underway in Moscow and other cities of Russia.
"The project aims to remind the Russian society of great cultural relations that Georgia had with Russia," the President said. "Nevertheless, we will state once again that no Georgian can abide the attempts to legalize the annexation of Georgia and loss of the territory," Saakashvili stated.
After the August events, this will be the first arrangement in Russia with the participation of Georgians. After the conflict happened in August, many Georgians turned down to partake in events held in Russia.
