Turkmenistan, Ashghabat, Dec. 15 /corr. Trend E.Hasanov / Today Turkmen air lines presented its airliner to the
passengers, including Azerbaijan Vice Prime Minister Abid Sharifov, flying with
Lufthansa flights from Frankfurt am Main to Baku, who landed in Ashkhabad due to the weather conditions, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan said.
Today the aircraft of Lufthansa Airline, which carries out regular flights via
the route Frankfurt am Main-Baku-Ashgabat, landed in the airport of Ashkhabad city due to the weather conditions in the airport of Baku city.
"The aircraft had 211 people on board, with 141 flying via the route Frankfurt am Main-Baku. The number of passengers also included Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Abid Sharifov," the same source stated
Without delays the Turkmen side took all measures to provide air transport to
the passengers, who flied to Baku, for their delivery from Ashkhabad to the
capital of Azerbaijan. During stay in the airport of Ashkhabad city, the
passengers were provided with all conditions.
Having operationally conducted all necessary procedures
connected with the flight, the Turkmen side provided Boeing-737 airliner of the
Head Agency of Air Traffic "Turkmenkhovaellari", which delivered the passengers
to Baku.
"The above-mentioned actions, taken by the Turkmen authorities, are the
evidence of the fraternal and good neighborly relations between the peoples of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan and the Government of Turkmenistan, and as the act of good will, again
demonstrated closeness and strength of the bilateral relations between the two
states," the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan stated.
