Idea of establishment Caspian Economic Cooperation has right to existence: Kazakh foreign minister

Kazakhstan, Astana, Dec 23/ Trend , K. Konirova/ The idea of establishment of the Caspian Economic Cooperation has a right to existence, Marat Tajin, foreign minister of Kazakhstan, said in Astana today.

"The issue of establishment of the Organization of the Caspian Cooperation which was discussed within the intergovernmental conference in Astrakhan in Oct. 2008 and talks, exchange of views showed that the idea of the Irani president has a right to existence. Kazakhstan is ready to launch expert preparations for this issue," Tajin said.

He said the Convention on the legal status of the Caspian should be peculiar "road map" of the littoral Caspian states for near perspective the realization of which will allow to provide long-term and firm legal framework for the cooperation of the littoral Caspian states and to keep the Caspian Sea and its wealth for future generations.

The meeting of the working group on the basic document - Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian in the level of vice ministers of the five littoral Caspian states will last two days in Astana. The Azerbaijani delegation will be led by the vice foreign minister Khalaf Khalafov.
