Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 13/ Trend , A. Huseynbala/ Azerbaijani opposition party expects proposals on cooperation of the registered and non-registered referendum campaign groups.
"If non-registered campaign groups want to cooperate, we will do our best," Classic Popular Front Party chairman Mirmahmoud Miralioglu told Trend .
Azerbaijan will hold referendum vote on amendments to the Constitution on March 18.
Thus far, the CEC has registered New Azerbaijan, City, Progress, Law and Democracy and Civil Society initiative groups. Prosperous village, Free Speech, Azerbaijan People's Republic and National Independence initiative groups were not registered.
The election constituencies have registered 124 initiative groups.
The Constitution was adopted in 1995. Amendments and additions were made in 2002.
Miralioglu said the success of the cooperation depends on what they are proposed. "I think no one will hold mass events. They are not also expected to give us air time allotted for them by the Public Television. I do not know exactly how we can cooperate," he added.
"We have offered non-registered campaign groups to cooperate with us on numerous cases," Musavat party central administration chairman Arig Hajili said. Musavat party is a member of the Movement for Garabagh and Republic campaign group.
He said he has made his proposals both via media and at meetings with opposition representatives. "Representatives of these parties took part in our meetings. They can not find a pretext," Hajili said.
Movement for Garabagh and Republic campaign group was founded by Azerbaijan Popular front Party, Liberal, Musavat, Democrat and Umid Party.
