Iran continued to fight the global hegemony, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said.

"International superpowers believe that the Iranian Revolution will not endure and the people will stop supporting its values. But the people have forced international superpowers to retreat," Ahmadinejad said on Feb. 18.

As far as the Iranian nuclear program is concerned, the country will continue its activities in this direction, he said.

The destruction of the world hegemony is inevitable and the process is underway, he said.

Ahmadinejad said the nations that have been attempting to dictate their ideas to the world under the pretext of economic reforms have lost their credibility.

From a political point of view, the West is in a hopeless situation.

Events in Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Afghanistan, Africa and South America are proof, he said.

"These forces are not able to resolve current political problems. Furthermore, they are faced with economic problems. Their ideas are not able to resolve the crisis," he said.
