Georgia, Tbilisi, Feb. 26 / Trend , N.Kirtskhalia/
Late businessman Badri Patarkatsishvili's family said they would continue fighting to return the Imedi television and radio company although it has been acquired by the Arab RAK Georgia Holding.
Joseph Kay acquired Imedi through the use of fraud, the family said in a special message on Feb. 25.
"The family will continue to struggle in international courts," the statement said.
Kay said at a news conference on Feb. 25 that he sold a 90-percent share of Imedi to RAK Georgia Holding. He added that he was compelled to do so in light of the global financial crisis. The details of the negotiation were not disclosed.
RAK Georgia Holding is implementing several investment projects in Georgia.
The company owns the Poti Port and leased Mtatsminda Park in Tbilisi, which belonged to Patarkatsishvili. Patarkatsishvili financed the restoration of the park.
Patarkatsishvili's family claims that RAK Georgia Holding will never be a bona fide buyer because the company was aware of how the family was bereaved of Imedi and Mtatsminda Park and litigations are underway in international courts.
