The Georgian Interior Ministry has detained Malzakh Gvelukashvili and Lasha Chkhenkeli, members of the For Georgia's Salvation movement, for preparing acts of terrorism and coup d'eta attempt.

The Interior Ministry official Shota Utiashvili said at a press conference that Gvelukashvili and Chkhenkeli have bought arms to use them on April 9.

The Interior Ministry has circulated video footage showing Gvelukashvili discussing coup d'eta planned for April 9 and capture of President Mikheil Saakashvili with his aids.

The footage also shows Gvelukashvili and Chkhenkeli's meeting with arms sellers.

Relatives and aids of the detained are holding a protest action in front of the Interior Ministry to release them. They claim the accusations are false.
