On May 7, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev met with Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende.
The Dutch Premier praised Azerbaijan's geopolitical importance, and said the country also has big economic potential, AzerTaj state news agency reported.
He said the Netherlands is keen to expand the bilateral cooperation with Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev echoed the Dutch Premier's words, saying Azerbaijan is also interested in developing overall relations with the Netherlands, particularly economic ones.
The President vowed the Azerbaijani government would render every assistance to Dutch companies wishing to start a business in the country.
