The conference on project of document "Requirements of Georgia community to political parties and politicians" was held in "Tbilisi Marriott" hotel on May 18
Representatives of different social groups participated in the conference. Participants laid down obligations of community that political parties and politicians must take.
All parties must accept these five obligations and fulfill them in case of having power, "Law for people" NGO leader Zaharia Kutsnashvili told media after the conference.
The document contains five major obligations: inadmissibility of pursuit on political motives, preservation of achievements and development of the country, solving of urgent social problems, strengthening of democracy guarantees, creation of additional mechanisms of public control.
Principal aim of the conference is to stir up Georgia civil society.
"Creation of this document was stipulated by need in strengthening of civil society's role in life of the state. The document must not follow political processes but must regulate them," Kutsnashvili said.
He called for designing control mechanisms for laid down obligations by political forces. "Society will take preventive measures not to be in the role of disappointed citizen," Kutsnashvili said.
