Azerbaijan, Baku, May 27 / Trend , J.Babayeva/
The Azerbaijan-Israel Youth Friendship Society (AIYFS) considers Iran's strict attitude toward the Israeli president's upcoming visit to Azerbaijan as illogical.
"A strict attitude of Iran which has high-level relations with Armenia toward this visit is not correct from logic, religious, justice and international law point of view. To establish bilateral relations with Israel which is one of the developed democratic countries and always seeks to establish warm relations with Azerbaijan will not damage any country," the AIYFS statement said on May 27.
Israeli President Shimon Peres is expected to visit Azerbaijan in summer months. The Iranian officials stated that the Israeli president's visit to Azerbaijan is inadmissable.
On May 26, at the parliamentary meeting, Chairman of Ana Vatan (Motherland) Party and Parliamentarian Fazail Agamali said that the Foreign Ministry must take concrete steps in this issue.
The AIYFS expressed its confidence that the Israeli president's Azerbaijan visit will be the step in protecting peace both in the region and world.
