Armenia and Turkey agreed to re-open borders with the U.S. support and given their own interests which poses danger not only for Azerbaijan, but also for Georgia, Georgian Popular Front Chairman Nodar Natadze said in his interview with Akhali Taoba (New Generation) newspaper.

"This decision provoked strong protest by Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan accepted the move by Turkey as betraying blood brother. Later Turkey reviewed position and now says that it will not open border until Armenian troops withdraw from Nagorno-Karabakh," he said.

Natadze said it also beneficial for Russia. "First of all, it is Americans who wants to open border, but not Russia. Secondly, it constricts strategic Caucasus corridor between West and East and Armenia will remain in Russia's orbit as before. Third, Armenia will be more interested to possess corridor to the Black Sea which is Armenia's long-time wish and what they are promised by non-Georgian president (M. Saakashvili) to all appearances," he said.

He said "appearance of this Armenian corridor is beneficial for Turkey as it will weaken Armenia's willingness to pave a way to sea and world through Turkey."
