Work is underway over document on new quality of Russia-NATO council's work: Russia's permanent representative to alliance

Presently, work is conducted over important document on new quality of work within preparatory committee. It will include several political principles of interaction of sides and procedural moments, as well as theme issues of meeting, i.e. the point of Russia-NATO council's concentration and sphere of its competence, Russia's constant representative under NATO Dmitry Rogozin told Trend over phone from Moscow.  

The meeting with participation of foreign ministers of Russia-NATO council will be held in Greece island of Korfu on June 27. The meeting with participation of ambassadors will be held before that meeting in Brussels. Date of this meeting is being determined.  
"We are likely to determine date tonight. It will be before June 19," Rogozin said. 

There is probability that document on new quality of work of Russia-NATO council will be prepared by ministers' meeting, Rogozin said. 

Topic of the meeting will be summarizing of results and discussion of actions happened after August events in Georgia, he said. "Ministers are free to exchange opinions concerning various issues and cover questions that were not included in agenda before, i.e. there is specific character Russia-NATO," Rogozin said. 

It is flexible format and operative mechanism to consider strategic security issues. Presently, review of Russian-NATO cooperation within the last period, as well as coordinated document on principle and procedures of work are being prepared, he said.
