Romania is ready for sharing experience with Azerbaijan in integration in Europe and Euro Atlantic sphere, secretary of state for strategic affairs of Romania Bogdan Aurescu said at the meeting with Azerbaijani foreign ministry Elmar Mammadyarov on June 9.
"Relations between Romania and Azerbaijan are at high level. It is necessary to continue intensive cooperation between foreign ministries," Aurescu said.
There is wide potential for development of bilateral relations, Mammadyarov said.
Azerbaijani foreign minister informed Romania's secretary of state about talks held to settle Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and stated position of the country on this issue.
Romania supports territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan and hopes that conflict will be solved shortly, Aurescu said.
The sides exchanged opinions on bilateral, regional and global issues.
