Georgia, Tbilisi, June 9 / Trend , N.Kirtskhalia / The Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili and the leader of the radical opposition Levan Gachechiladze will meet at 21:00 on June 9, Gachechiladze said during the meeting in front of the Georgian Interior Ministry today.
He said that Saakashvili himself expressed a desire to meet and it will be a face-to face meeting.
"This meeting is very important because I am interested in how he assesses the situation in the country and the actions of the opposition," said Gachechiladze, noting that he is concerned, since many people do not understand the motives of his meeting with Saakashvili.
"The meeting will take place at the presidential residence in Shavnabade. I intend to tell the President all the arguments, according to which he should resign and release the country from his governance," said Gachechiladze.
Some participants expressed dissatisfaction with Gachechiladze's decision, but he firmly stated that "the opposition should not be afraid of any talks and meetings.
