Upon the president's decree, Turkmen Vice-Premier Deryageldi Orazov will organize the international conference-exhibition on architecture and town-building with participation of the world's giant construction companies and famous architects, an official Turkmen source said.
The Turkmen capital is experiencing a construction boom. The giant projects which are implemented for billion dollars via the public budget include the presidential palace complex, Ashgabat-city business centre, Olympic Village, university quarter and new residential avenues. A week ago, Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov criticized quality of work of the Turkish construction companies.
Moreover, a presidential contest has been recently organized with the fund worth $300,000 for the best architecture project to develop Ashgabat.
