Over 6,700 permissions issued to presidential candidates' representatives in Tehran: Iran's CEC chairman

To monitor the voting at polling stations in Tehran, the representatives of presidential candidates have been issued 6,708 permissions, Iran's CEC chairman Kamran Daneshju said.

He also said that the electoral headquarters of ex-Prime Minister Mir-Hossein Mousavi asked 3,153 permissions, but only 2,918 permissions were issued. The electoral headquarters of the current Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad asked 3,331 permissions. His representatives were issued 2,720 permissions. The election headquarters of another candidate - former head of the Corps of the Revolution (Sepah) Mohsun Rezaie required 356 permissions, they were issued 348 ones. As to ex-speaker Mehdi Karroubi, his representatives have received 722 permissions instead of the requested 1,000 ones.     

Former Speaker Mehdi Karroubi, Former Prime Minister Mir-Hossein Moussavi, Head of the Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution (Sepah) Mohsun Rezaee and incumbent President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are running for president.
