The Day of National Salvation not only saved Azerbaijan from the tragedy, but also laid the foundation of the development and recovery of the state, said Deputy Chairman, Executive Secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party, Ali Ahmedov, said to conference on "Way beginning from the salvation".
"The Day of Salvation is a significant event in the history of Azerbaijan. The idea of salvation, a policy that began from the salvation is now in life of Azerbaijan, every citizen, every family. Facing with a threat of split 16 years ago, now Azerbaijan has become the most dynamically developing country in the world," said Ahmedov.
On June 13, the ruling NAP organized a conference on "Way beginning from the salvation" dedicated to June 15 - Day of National Salvation.
On June 15, 1993, the National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev was elected the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Since 1997, the date of June 15 entered the history of Azerbaijan as the Day of National Salvation.
According to Ahmedov, the high dynamic development of Azerbaijan could be ensured only by the policy established by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. "The more the idea of salvation will exist in Azerbaijan, the more the state will grow and be able to achieve even greater success," said Deputy Chairman of NAP.
The NAP was established by Nakhchivan Parliamentary Speaker Heydar Aliyev in 1992.
President Ilham Aliyev is the party's chairman. The party has ruled the country for 15 years.
