Strategic partnership between Joint Staff of the U.S. and Georgian armed forces takes new shape, Georgian ambassador to Washington Batu Kuteliya said concrete work in underway in line with the Georgia-U.S. Strategic Cooperation Charter.
Implementation of the charter will be discussed during Georgian foreign minister Grigol Vashadze's meeting with the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the U.S and at the meeting of the Georgia-U.S. council to begin on June 22.
Kuteliya said the fact that Congress adopted a law which instructs administrative body with providing periodical information about charter's implementation testifies to new stage of bilateral relations.
"The charter is being implemented. This is historical event," the ambassador said.
