Municipal elections, current situation in Iran were planned to be discussed at the meeting. Proposal about creation and forming of municipality of Baku is likely to be adopted again via elections," official representative of the party said.

Azerbaijani National Independence Party was the first party passing state registration. The party was established in 1992. The party split after its founder and chairman Etibar Mammadov left the party late 2004. After appointment of Ali Aliyev, several members of the party left the party as a sign of protest.
