Meeting of U.S.-Georgia strategic partnership council must be clear signal for Moscow: Georgia's parliament chairman

Meeting of the U.S.-Georgia Strategic Partnership Council must change the charter on cooperation in a document of concrete actions, Georgia's parliament chairman David Bakradze said.

So, he commented meeting of the council scheduled for June 22 to be held in Washington with participation of U.S secretary of state Hillary Clinton and Georgian foreign minister Grigol Vashadze.

"This meeting is very important. It will be held on the threshold of meeting between U.S president and Russia's president. It is clear signal for Moscow that close cooperation between the USA and Georgia will continue," Bakradze said. 

He said that meeting must be the meeting during which declarative document - charter on strategic partnership is transformed into concrete plan of cooperation in security, defense, economy, etc.
