Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki stated that he would visit Yemen to attend an annual meeting of the Indian Ocean Rim-Association for Regional Cooperation (IOR-ARC), Mehr news agency reported.
The IOR-ARC meeting was scheduled in Yemen for June 25. Iran is the chairman of the IOR-ARC within last two years. Iran will pass the chairmanship in the IOR-ARC to Yemen at the tomorrow's meeting. The meeting will focus on examining projects on cooperation with the Association members.
The Indian Ocean Rim-Association for Regional Cooperation was founded in 1997 as a universal and economic organization uniting the countries of the Indian ocean rim, including Australia, India, Indonesia, Yemen, Kenya, Mauritius, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mozambique, Oman, Tanzania, Singapore, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Iran and Pakistan.
