Georgia's opposition party bring suit against authorities

Movement for United Georgia appealed twice to the Prosecution General. The fist appeal concerns incident occurring near head police department on May 6, leader of the party Eka Beselia said at the press-conference on June 24.

Appeal will be submitted by Levan and Giorgi Gachechiladze, Shalva Obgaidze, Gia Maisashvili, David Gamkrelidze and other leaders and active members of opposition with demand to punish people guilty in the incident. Appeal is accompanied by video evidence. 

The second appeal concerns incident occurring near Avlabar residence of the President on June 18. Picketers and local residents clashed that day. Beselia said that picketers were not attached by civilians. So, she calls for producing video materials from video cameras in the territory of residence.

Movement for United Georgia calls for conducting international monitoring for investigation of both incidents.
