Kazakh Parliamentary Senate speaker meets with OSCE Secretary General

On July 3 Kazakhstan Parliamentary Senate chairman,  deputy speaker of the Parliamentary Assembly of OSCE Kasim-Djomart Tokayev met with the OSCE Secretary General Mark Perren de Brishambo, participating in the third Conference of leaders of the world and traditional religions.

During the meeting the parties appraised the results of international congress of religious leaders. During the forum Kazakhstan succeeded to gather representatives of different religions and outstanding politicians. They all called to friendship and peaceful co-existence.

Tokayev informed the OSCE Secretary General about the scaly work done in the country under preparations for forthcoming chairmanship of Kazakhstan in this organization. Kazakh MPs intend to take an active part in the work of international parliamentary organization.

Brishambo voiced his conviction in Kazakhstan's commitment to OSCE principles and confidence that Astana's chairmanship will favor development and improvement of its activity.
