Tbilisi City Hall accused of non-executing Georgian Supreme Court's decision

Georgia, Tbilisi, July 14 / Trend , N.Kirtzkhalia/

The Tbilisi City Hall roughly violates the law and attempt to interpret court decisions to avoid their execution.

The NGO "Center for protection of constitutional rights" reported that it concerns the Supreme Court's resolution, dated Dec. 4 2008, on which the decision of the Tbilisi Court of Appeal remained in power. Under this decision, a decree on the release of the mayor's office staff, issued in 2005 was recognized illegal.

The NGO Center for protection of constitutional rights protects interests of laid-off employees in the court. They urge the Tbilisi City Hall to immediately and voluntarily enforce the Supreme Court's resolution.
