The Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will participate in debates in the Georgian parliament to be launched on July 17 at 14:00, chairman of the parliament David Bakradze told media on July 16.

The Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will participate in debates in the Georgian parliament to be launched on July 17 at 14:00, chairman of the parliament David Bakradze told media on July 16.

"The President expressed his willingness to participate in debates during our conversation," he said.

Bakradze expressed confidence that debates will be significant and important. Debates will aim there will be no questions without answers in Georgia. "We follow democratic principles. So, debates are important component of our political life. Opposition will be able to raise all interesting issues," he said.  

Debates will be held in accordance with article 138 of regulations.

Majority and minority will be given 10 minutes, chairmen of the Parliament and factions - 15 minutes, deputy speaker - 10 minutes, MPs not included in any faction - 5 minutes to participate in debates upon the article.

Factions, majority and minority will determine number of addressing people and distribution of time among them within allocated time.

Speaker of the parliament has right to use limit of time given to him and put to the vote considered issues in the end of debates.
