The temporary parliamentary commission on restoration of Georgia's territorial integrity strongly condemns Russia's provocative intentions, due to the construction of the so-called 'Berlin Wall' on Abkhazia's administrative border, the commission's statement said.
"The Commission considers that this provocation is aimed to exacerbate hostility between Georgians and Abkhazians, resulting from armed conflict, inspired by the Kremlin, and the maximum to prevent the process of rebuilding trust between us. The construction of the wall on the administrative border represents nothing more than the isolation of Abkhazia, not only from the rest of Georgia, but also from the international community, and undisguised attempt to annex the occupied territories.
The Commission again draws attention of the international community to the fact that these actions of the Kremlin continue ignoring the generally accepted principles of international law and dozens of the UN resolutions, which express support for Georgia's territorial integrity," the statement said.
