The 'Protection of the ozone layer' law has come into force in Turkmenistan on August 21.
The law determines the legal, economic and organizational basis of ozone layer protection, as well as state governance and control in treatment with ozone-damaging substances. The law is aimed at protecting and preventing the destruction of the ozone layer, restoring it in order to protect human health and the environment from unfavorable consequences caused by ozone layer destruction.
The 'Protection of ozone layer' law is a system of measures outlined by state agencies, legal and physical entities to prevent the destruction of the ozone layer and encourage its restoration in order to protect human health and the environment from unfavorable consequences caused by destruction f ozone layer.
The state regulation of activities for ozone layer protection will be implemented by the Turkmen Cabinet of Ministers, the authorized state agency for protection of the ozone layer, local executive agencies and local self-governing agencies, with their limits, which are determined by this law.
