On September 7, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliev visited the Heydar Aliyev Center, located in the Narimanov district of the capital, AzerTAj state news agency reported.
The Head of State was informed that the construction of the Heydar Aliyev Center in total covers an area of 15.25 hectares and that the concrete work in the car park, as well as electrical work was completed. Construction of the center's main building began in early 2008, and work still continues. Concrete work in the main building was completed at 85 percent. Works in the basement of the center are completing.
The ceremony of laying the foundation of the Heydar Aliyev Center was held on Sept. 10, 2007 with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev.
