The National Security Ministry of Azerbaijan defused a gang involved in drugs smuggling along the routes of Iran - Azerbaijan and Iran - Azerbaijan - Russia.
About 180 kg of narcotic drugs - heroin, hashish and opium was withdrawn from the members of the gang, the Center for Public Affairs of the Ministry told Trend on September 8.
At the next stage of joint operational activities of the National Security Ministry of Azerbaijan and the Service for Control on Drug Trafficking of Russia, were found and seized drugs, sent by a citizen of Iran, who is being identified by investigators.
