Citizens having lost their identity cards will be able to participate in the municipal elections in Azerbaiajn.

"A form No 7 will be given for these citizens to participate in the elections."

Citizens who have lost their identity cards, will be able to get a form No 7 three days prior the elections by paying 5 manat as state duty, or 1 manat if there are more than three days prior the elections.

People having lost their identity cards, must pay a fine of 15-20 manat", Deputy Interior Minister, Oruj Zalov, said at the specialized courses on electoral law for chairmen of district election commissions on September 11.

Municipal elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for mid. of December.

Zalov said that at present, about 99.5 percent of the population have identity cards in Azerbaijan. "About 1,618 people are registered in Azerbaijan but live abroad, more than 113,000 temporarily work outside Azerbaijan, 14,475 people are under 16. This information is as of September 1," deputy minister said.
