Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, September 23 / Trend G.Hasanov / President of Turkmenistan hopes that soon the epic "Koroglu" will be named in the list of treasures of the spiritual heritage of UNESCO, mentioned in President Gurbangulu Berdimuhamedov's appeal to the participants of International Conference "Koroglu and Literature of the East" which opened in the city of Dashoguz.
"Koroglu" is magnificent literary monument, widely spread in Central Asia, the Caucasus and the Middle East. Berdimuhamedov noted that the epic has connected the life and destiny of the Turkmen people, having absorbed many of the best bakhshi (musicians), a sharp mind singers Ozan, their wisdom and inspiration.
The Turkmen forum is attended by scientists from more than 20 countries, including from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Jordan, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Japan and others.
According to the President, the heroes of the epics Korogl, Adibek Sultan, Dzhigali Bey and others, their inherent wisdom, kindness, loyalty, fairness, honesty, courage, respect for their people are examples for spiritual strength, young people's sense of boundless love for their people, proud of their past and future.
