Despite some work done in tracing missing persons and identification of unidentified corpses, effort and resources in some city and district police were not aimed at capturing those responsible for grave and especially grave crimes, but to the disclosure of lighter and not constituting a particular social threat crimes, said at a board meeting of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan Interior Minister Colonel General Ramil Usubov.

Ramil Usubov stressed the need for careful analysis of cases involving the search for missing persons, in-depth study of the possibility that they were victims of murder or crime, and if necessary, the opening of criminal proceedings in these cases.
The head of the Interior Ministry said that despite the successes, there is need to specifically explore and address the shortcomings that still exist in some city and district police by the end of this year.
