Azerbaijan, Baku, September 29 / Trend K. Zarbaliyeva /

Azerbaijani state road police warns drivers.

Recently, drivers move along the left side of two or more lane roads, while the right side of the road is free, head of the press service of the Main State Traffic Police Department of the interior ministry, Arastun Majidov, told Trend on September 29. This movement creates obstacles for vehicles moving behind while passing.

During normal traffic, drivers of vehicles depending on the situation must move on the right side of the road upon Article 49 of the law 'Road Traffic'. "

Otherwise, this violation is considered as an administrative responsibility and falls under article 151.1 (location of vehicles on the roadways) of the Code on Administrative Violations.

Sometimes drivers do not give way to vehicles having privilege for passage, vehicles with flashers, as well as when it is red light, Majidov said.

In its turn, it is considered as violation of the regulation envisaged by article 151.2 of the code on administrative violations. Fine to the amount of 20-40 manat and 3 penal points are imposed.

Combat with similar violations strengthens, Main Traffic Police Department said. Serious measures will be taken towards drivers violating these rules.
