Georgian parliament establishes commission to study death of former president

Parliament of Georgia established a temporary commission to study the circumstances of the death of the first Georgian president Zviad Gamsakhurdia.
At today's plenary session, the parliament decided to establish a commission of 11 persons. The commission members will be determined within two weeks.
Zviad Gamsakhurdia died in January 1994 in the Samegrelo region. He was discovered in a house in the morning with a hole in his head. According to official information, Gamsakhurdia committed suicide, but according to his supporters, he was killed.
