Georgia, Tbilisi, Nov. 10 / Trend N.Kirtzkhalia /
This morning, a Georgian delegation headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Giorgi Bokeria left for Geneva. Geneva will discuss the situation in the occupied territories tomorrow.
The delegation includes Interior Ministry Analytical Department head Shota Utiashvili, South Ossetia Interim Administration head Dmitriy Sanakoev and Abkhazian Prime Minister Gia Baramiya.
According to Bokeria, the security architecture in the conflict zones does not guarantee stability.
"Provocations by invaders show that the existing format of the international observers should be changed," he said. "Both from within and without one can see easily that the the mission of international observers should be expanded and strengthened by police functions, so we can avoid further provocations."
Bokeria said Georgia has always stood for initiatives guaranteeing stability at each meeting of the Geneva talks, but Russia opposes these efforts.
At the talks Russia's delegation will be headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin.
