On Dec. 25, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order pardoning a number of prisoners, AzerTAj state news agency reported.
The order pardoned 89 prisoners, including three sentenced to imprisonment, six sentenced to the penalty. Among those pardoned there are three citizens of Afghanistan, two citizens of Iran and one citizen of Nigeria, Russia, China and Macedonia.
The order takes effect from the day of signing.
